1. Which employees need the Hazardous Material & Security Awareness training?
- Anyone who loads, unloads or handles hazardous materials
- Anyone who inspects, repairs or maintains containers for hazardous materials
- Anyone who has responsibility for the safe handling or transporting of hazardous materials
- Anyone who operates a vehicle transporting hazardous materials
2. How often are employees required to take this course?
- Training is required every three (3) years. New employees must be trained within 90 days of hiring.
3. Where and when is training offered?
- TFCA now offers its HazMat training online and on demand. You now have a choice of where and when to receive training.
- The course is 90 minutes long. You may view the training as a group or on an individual basis.
4. How do we register?
- The course is available to employees of TFCA member companies.
- A designated company representative should complete the registration form and submit payment for each individual requiring certification.
- Once the registration form and payment is received, you should receive an emailed link to online training and the three required exams.
- Individuals must view the training and complete the exams.
- Completed exams must be completed as proof of completion of the course. The exams will not be graded.
- Certificates of completion will be mailed to the designated company representative.
